Creating Accessible Content
As you add or update the content on your webpages please reference these guidelines to ensure that your content is accessible for everyone.
The elements listed below are the most widely available and commonly used in our content management system. If you're working with other elements it is important to keep in mind that all web content must comply with WCAG 2.0 AA. If you require an element that is not listed here please submit a service request and the Web Services team will work with you to develop an accessible solution.
Web Accessibility
Florida Institute of Technology is committed to creating an inclusive campus where everyone can fully benefit from our programs and activities, including use of our website. We strive to achieve AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). For web-based content that cannot be made accessible, an alternative method for people to obtain the information—such as a phone number, email address or office location—will be provided.
We are currently engaged in the continuous development and improvement of web accessibility and are committed to monitoring the website regularly and addressing issues that are discovered or brought to our attention. During this process, we recognize that there may be older content that is less than 100 percent compliant. Accessibility of the full website is currently being reviewed and addressed, and we encourage you to contact us if you have discovered content that is not accessible.
If you have questions or concerns about web accessibility or would like assistance accessing the website, please contact the web team at webservices@551827.com.
